Over a period of 8 weeks I was asked to work with a group of young women from Kiverton Youth group, looking at female body image in the media. We looked at many aspects of this and documented the process with video camera’s.
The footage was taken by the girls and myself as we progressed along a very wonderful course. At the end of the course the girls felt so much more positive about themselves and their body image. I then edited the footage into a short film for the participants and funders for their private use only.

This film was for private use of the youth group. We cannot show a clip on line for privacy reasons. This film was not submitted to festivals, but had private screenings for invited audiences.
If you would like to see a copy of this film please contact us and we will try to arrange permission for you. Thanks.

I have run similar body images courses for other groups since making this film, and lead workshops at the National Women’s Conference in June, 2009.
