Over a period of seven weeks, Victoria Roberts and Charlotte Barnes of Dead Earnest Theatre, Sheffield, worked with Southey Green Primary School on a fun and imaginative project to stimulate the children’s creative writing and communication skills.
An 'alien pod' was placed in the school playground early one morning before the children arrived at school, and over the next seven weeks, many strange happenings occurred which led the children on a path of investigation and discovery. The project involved the whole school, but focussed on Y1 and Y5 children mainly.
This film is a documentation of the whole process of the work. The film is made as evaluation for Creative Partnerships and Dead Earnest Theatre, and copies will be available for all those involved at Southey Green School, and their families.
This was a wonderful and very successful project and the film reflects the great success of the project within school and the local community.
This film is not available on our site due to child protection issues. This film is for private use for the school only.
