Mulitcamera Directing for Television

A half day course for TV Directors/filmmakers/film students

Having trained with ITV in the Coronation Street studios in shooting continuing drama with multi camera, Debbie will be happy to explain how this works and pass on some tips and techniques.

Filming with 3 cameras can be complicated, especially when using a lot of movment in the scene and being careful to not cross the line. Plotting the scene prior to shooting is essential and planning is paramount to the success of th shoot, especially with a very short time to film on set. Working with a Vision Mixer and having to plan your edit before you have even blocked the scene on set is quite a skill. In this half days course Debbie will explain how to prepare for a 3 camera shoot, which is Vision Mixed during filming, so that a quick tweak in the edit is all that is needed for the scene to be completed.
